November 14, 2010 Hike #1
I'm not crazy about bushwhacking but I decided to join Jeremy today who was planning on a couple of peaks that have been on my to do list for a while. The first was Eagle Cliff. We would hike up and across the ridge in the picture below to the peak on the right.

We walked under the highway and began our hike on the Greenleaf Trail. We weren't on it long when we started the bushwhack. We wasted no time in going up. As we went up, we had a great view of Cannon Mountain. This would be a great place to see the profile of the Old Man of the Mountain... uh... if it hadn't fallen off the mountain a few years back.

The last stretch before the ridge was really steep.

We reached the ridge and began to make our way to the summit.

We reached the 3420' summit of Eagle Cliff. We had the most beautiful view of Cannon Mountain that I ever saw.

We went down the backside of the mountain until we reached Eagle Pass. We then took the Greenleaf Trail back to our vehicles.
