With time to spare, Jeremy and I decided to do some red-lining in Randolph. We parked at Appalachia, crossed Route 2, and began our hike on the Bee Line Trail.

This brought us around Durand Lake

"Come on Jeremy. The bog bridging isn't that narrow."

Over a bridge.

We crossed Durand Road but continued on the Bee Line Trail

We reached the end of Bee Line and got on Pasture Path. We crossed the junction of EZ way . . .

. . . and Wood Path. (I'll have to get those another time.)

Next we reached The Short Circuit Trail. It is just .1 miles long. This is the southern end.

I got shocked as I touched the sign on the northern end.

We returned to Pasture Path and took this down the road just in case it was considered part of the trail.

We backtracked and got on the Diagonal Trail.

I finally learned what these are called: rock boxes.

From here we ran around in circles hitting several short trails including the Burnbrae Path.

We also hit Bluffway, Groveway, and the Glenside.
A couple of times we went over this cool, covered footbridge.

We came out on Durand Road. We headed west until we reach Durand Lake. We took the trail back around the lack to the parking lot. We were definitely in the dark now and had used every possible moment of light.
