September 11, 2010 Hike #2
This is just a quick after hike hike to Cave Mountain.

The trail immediately went by a grave.

After .3 miles, the Cave Spur Trail begins.

The sign may be tough to see but the sides of the trail are lined with white birch limbs.

I can see how cave mountain gets its name.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ There is a viewpoint at the end of the trail.
The trail doesn't go quite to the summit. I bushwhacked through open woods to the 1439' summit which was perhaps a tenth of a mile or so from the trail.
