March 7, 2010 Hike #3
This is it. Time to finish my 2nd 48-in-1-winter season. I'm tired from already doing two hikes today, but motivated to finish this goal. It was a fairly easy hike up until the last quarter mile. The snowstorm from last week completely obliterated the trail.
Looking up to Mount Jackson

The snowshoe track then left the trail (which was just gone) and began a bushwhack. At first I thought it was going to take me over to Mount Webster, but then the tracks turned towards the summit.

I couldn't even recognize the summit of Jackson. It was buried

Tired and sweaty, but glad to be on the summit of peak #48.

I returned over the same route, happy to have completed my 2nd 48-in-1-winter season.
