November 11, 2009 Hike #2

I started this hike at 10:30 a.m. I was actually a little ahead of schedule. I hiked the Osceolas this morning and was hoping to start this hike by 11:00. Madison and I headed up the Falling Waters Trail.

One of several waterfalls along the way.

There were some ice patches as we neared treeline, but there was still enough bare rocking showing that I got through without having to put on my microspikes.

Heading down to the hut.

There were iceflows before and after the hut, but again I was able to easily go around.

Just before the hut we went by Eagle Lake.

Closing in on the hut which is closed until spring.

We then headed down the Bridle Path getting back to my truck about 3:15. It was a great day above treeline. Lots of sun and very little wind.
