November 11, 2009 Hike #1
The weather prediction was so nice today that I wanted to get in two hikes. In order to do so, I shot for a 6:00 a.m. start. I came close. I drove into the parking lot a few minutes after 6:00 and by 6:15 Madison and I were on the trail. The snow had once again melted and the trails were dry. We made the steep climb up where we got this view.

We headed back the same way. Madison and I had both mountains to ourselves and didn't see another person coming up or going down. We got back to my truck at 10:00 a.m. Now let's go over to Franconia Ridge and hike above treeline!
