August 29, 2009 Hike #2
Because Coppermine Road is a private road, you cannot park at the trailhead. This requires an extra .4 mile road walk. As luck would have it, I had my bike today. I hopped on bike, went up to the trailhead, and ditched my bike in the woods. This was a gentle trail (by White Mountains standards) that followed Coppermine Brook and would dead end at a waterfall.

I'm 38 years old, but there is still a little boy in me. I noticed a small cave behind the falls. I went and climbed inside.

I returned over the same route. I forgot to check my start and stop time for this hike, but I am pretty sure it was under 2 hours. I thought briefly of hike #3 for the day by climbing Cannon, but I figured it would be best to get home. After all, I want to go hiking tomorrow!
