There's absolutely nothing to climb here. The hard part was driving here from Jim and Sue's house in Roanoke, Virginia. We did have one stop along the way. We stopped at Harpers Ferry, WV where the headquarters for the Appalchian Trail is located. I had my picture taken and filled out an application for my 2,000 miler patch. We enjoyed a walk around the town before continuing on our way. From there we headed up to Delaware.

Once we found the right street, we parked the car, crossed the street, and we were at Delaware's highpoint at just 448'. Lynn sat at the bench next to it and joked that she needed a break.

A couple locals walked by and congratulated us on getting "all the way" to the top.
There was another gentleman there visiting the highpoint who took our picture for us.

He pointed out to us that a few yards up the sidewalk was the actual highpoint.
There is a marker that the sidewalk goes around.

There's actually a point in a nearby mobile home park that is higher, but that is believed to be a result of grading and landscaping and is therefore manmade and not the true highpoint.

Well, that's state highpoint #16. I'm guessing it will be a while before I'm able to get to any more state highpoints. Tomorrow Lynn and I visit family in Massachusetts, and we'll be home in Maine by tomorrow night. It's been a great two weeks!
