September 27, 2008 Hike #2
This was the second hike for Madison and me today. After bagging the Tripyramids, I decided to take a quick hike up Tecumseh. I had only hiked Tecumseh once before via the trail near the ski lift. This time I came in via Tripoli Road. Up, up, up we went. Then we dropped into a col before heading up, up again. (just 2 'ups' that time) We relaxed on the 4003' summit for a few minutes before heading back over the same route. The rain which had surprisingly held off all day finally let loose during the last half hour, but hey, on a rainy day, I was quite happy to bag 3 peaks. This was White Mountains 4000 footer #23 for Madison. It also marked my 144th peak toward the Grid (25%).
