Even though I had a 30+ mile day yesterday and a 30+ mile day planned for tomorrow, the 7.9 mile section I hiked today just wasn't enough. Lynn and I located our next motel, The Hike Inn, before she dropped me off at Yellow Creek Gap. This would be my first hike in just North Carolina although I've had one foot in North Carolina for the past 200 miles as the AT follows the TN/NC border. I ran at least half of the next 6.4 miles.

I stayed on the move until Lynn met me near Route 28.

I have a big day planned tomorrow as I finish the A.T. through the Smokies and finish Tennessee.
