I've had my kayak out twice so far this year. Today will mark the third time. I was up for something new, so I headed down to Poland. There are a couple of geocaches on some hiking trails. They looked close to the water. I guess I will go by 'sea' so an extra lantern can be hung in the Old North Church (Remember the Paul Revere poem: one if by land, two if by sea). Here's today's track. The geocaches are marked by treasure chests.

Off I go

There were a few houses near the pond, but not as many as most lakes/ponds.

Hmmm? There's an island. I'll investigate further on the way back.

I neared my first geocache (named 'Range Pond'), so I pulled near the shore. My GPS zeroed in on the spot, and I found the cache within a minute. I signed the log, returned the cache to it's hiding spot, and returned to my kayak. There was a large beach near the southern end of the pond. It will be busy there in a couple weeks when school lets out.

After reaching the southern most end of the lake, I turned and headed back up the other side. I stopped to find the second geocache (named 'Our First Foray'). This was an easy find as well. That's what I like, once I'm at the spot, I don't want to have to search forever. I'm still new to geocaching. This was my 30th find.

On some of my hiking trips, I've started to take 360° views. I haven't figured out how to do that in a kayak yet, but here's a 180°.

I came up to the island I passed earlier. Looks like there is a good size house on it.
