April 26, 2008 Hike #2
With the price of regular gas at $3.56 a gallon, I decided I better start making my trips to the Whites a little more efficient. So after climbing Jackson, Pierce, and Eisenhower, I came over to climb Cannon Mountain. Madison was with me. This wasn't a new peak for either of us. This was my 4th time climbing Cannon in less than a year, so I didn't bother with too many pictures. As we neared the top, here's a shot of Lafayette and Lincoln.

The ski lift was shut down for the season. There's still plenty of snow, but not enough for skiing.

Just to do something different, Madison and I headed down the ski slope rather than taking the trail. I enjoyed this view most of the way down.

Cannon is a very busy mountain in the winter and in the summer, but other than two hikers who were going down as I was heading up, I had the mountain to myself (and Madison).
