We had an AMC hike planned for today, but with the current weather conditions Ed cancelled it. He made the right decision. Ed did send out an email for a last minute Grid hike. It looks like it is just Ed and me today. I hiked the Kinsmans less than two months ago, so I only took a few pictures today.

Here's the track from two months ago.
We took the same route except we took a shortcut across Lonesome Lake.

Going across this bridge was the trickiest part of today's hike.

We barebooted up to Lonesome Lake Hut. Ed went to check out the trail conditions to see if we should put our snowshoes on. I went inside for a minute to snap a picture.

We were now on the Fishin' Jimmy Trail which is also the Appalachian Trail.

We decided to put our snowshoes on.
The trail wasn't icy, but there was lots of ice on the trees.

First we made it to the 4293' summit of North Kinsman and then the 4358' summit of South Kinsman. This was my 3rd time hiking the Kinsmans, and it makes an even 50 times (yes, 50 times) for Ed.
Here's Ed on South Kinsman.

Ed then took a picture of me.

We returned over the same route.
Someone had been busy on the lake, because this snowman wasn't there on the way up.

Although we didn't have very good weather, the rain held off, and I had a great day with Ed.
