I'm on call at work this week, so I can't go on any big hikes. I didn't get quite to the top of Black Mountain last Sunday, so I guess I'll give it another go. Since it was a small hike and for the most part a repeat of last week, I didn't bother with any pictures.

Madison and I parked in the same spot and headed up the same route. I came to what appeared to be a fork in the trail and decided to go left this time. It wasn't long before the trail disappeared. I started bushwhacking up the mountain. I came across some blue ribbons and a herd path which I followed for a while. That too disappeared, and I bushwhacked my way to the top. There was no view from the 2133' summit. I then bushwhacked over to the south summit which I had climbed last week. Unless you are a fanatic like me, climbing to the south summit should be good enough. That is where the trail stops and that is where the view is. Maddie and I returned over the same route as last week.

Here's today's track.

Here's last week's track.
