It was another beautiful, above average temperature, January day. Lynn, Madison, and I went to nearby Streaked Mountain. It is a short hike but very, very steep.

There are great views at the top, but you do have to try to overlook all the radio and antenna equipment at the top.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ It is over an hours drive away, but on clear days like today, you can make out Mount Washington and the Presidential Range. With the exception of the Presidential Range I couldn't see any snow in any direction

We made our descent and passed four others who were out enjoying this beautiful January day. Once back in the car we drove just up the road to check out an alpaca farm. I got out to take their picture. They started walking toward me. They seemed friendly enough. Then I realized the front gate was open, and they walked right out the gate and into the road. I signalled for a man over by the barn. He didn't seem too concerned. He slowly walked over. "They always stay together and never go far," he said.
