Lynn, Snoopy, and I left Grafton Notch together. There is a giant AT symbol there so Lynn took a picture.

Since we would be taking the AT back to Grafton notch, we decided to head up Table Rock Trail. This is a steep trail but there are ladders to assist.

We made it to the top of Table Rock and had a snack.

We continued on the Table Rock Trail until we got back to the AT. We headed up the AT and took the short side trail to the Baldpate Leanto. We snacked on the ripe red raspberries that were all around. Lynn would wait for me here while I summited the West and East Peaks of Baldpate.

"I imagine you will have the place to yourself." I said
"Why's that?" Lynn asked.
"It's so early in the day. I doubt anyone will be stopping their hike so early to camp out."
I got back on the AT and headed north. I met a man with a large group of boys coming from the other direction. If they are headed to the shelter, it looks like Lynn might have some company after all.
Snoopy and I made our way up to the West Peak.

And looked ahead to the East Peak.

I made it over to the East Peak summit. I had hiked to this summit before, but from East B Hill Road, so another two AT sections are joined together.

Time to return back over the West Peak.

Snoopy had a little trouble getting up this ladder, but he was determined.

When I got back to the shelter, the campsite was crawling with the boys I had passed earlier.
"I thought you said I would be alone," Lynn said.
"Oops."
"It's been interesting," she said.
"Why's that?"
"All the boys speak French, but they swear in English."
"I guess they like the English swears better."
"So much for my peace and quiet." she added.
Snoopy was a big hit with the boys. I had him do some tricks before we headed back to the AT and down to Grafton Notch.
